Digital Accessibility
Last updated — April 2026
This Digital Accessibility Information Notice applies to the online services available at
by-gavinho.com.
GAVINHO Arquitetura e Interiores, Lda. is committed to making its website user-friendly and accessible to all visitors, including persons with disabilities. We believe that access to information and digital services is a fundamental right — and we approach digital accessibility with the same rigour we apply to the physical spaces we design.
Standards & Compliance
This statement sets out the accessibility features of our website with reference to applicable regulations, including the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and its transposition into Portuguese law, as well as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 accessibility standards as published by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
GAVINHO aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards across all pages of its website. Improving accessibility compliance is an ongoing process, and we continue to monitor and update our website to ensure conformity.
Accessibility Features
Our website is designed to allow you to:
- Zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
- Navigate the website using only a keyboard — use the Tab key to move through links and buttons, and Enter to activate a selected item
- Access all content with screen readers and other assistive technologies
- Experience the website with sufficient colour contrast for readability
If you would like further information or assistance using any part of our website, please contact us at

European Accessibility Act Compliance
The European Accessibility Act requires providers of digital services to maximise their foreseeable use by persons with disabilities. We have assessed our website against the accessibility requirements set out in this legislation by conforming and testing against WCAG 2.1 standards:
Perceivable — Information and user interface components are presented in ways users can perceive. All images and media include descriptive alternative text. Content maintains a logical structure with headings and semantic HTML, enabling effective screen reader navigation. The interface remains usable when text size is customised.
Operable — All user interface components and navigation are operable via keyboard, not exclusively by mouse. Standard keyboard shortcuts are supported throughout the website.
Understandable — Content, instructions and error messages use clear, straightforward language. The website's behaviour is predictable and consistent across all pages.
Robust — The website is built and tested to ensure reliable interpretation across a wide range of browsers and assistive technologies, following best practices outlined in WCAG 2.1.
Ongoing Monitoring
We regularly conduct testing, maintenance and accessibility reviews to ensure continuing conformity with WCAG 2.1 standards. For these assessments, we use a combination of automated analysis tools and manual testing.
We encourage users to report any accessibility issues they encounter. When we receive an accessibility-related request, complaint or recommendation, we log and action it promptly.
We monitor updates to standards, regulations and evolving assistive technology patterns, and incorporate these into our design and development processes.
Known Limitations
Our website includes video content that auto-plays without audio for atmospheric purposes. While these videos are decorative and do not convey essential information, we recognise that motion content may affect some users. We are working to ensure that all motion respects user preferences, including the prefers-reduced-motion media query.
Some interactive features, including our custom cursor, are automatically disabled on touch devices and for users with accessibility preferences enabled.
If you discover any unexpected gaps while using our website, please contact us using the information below.
